A video of the picturesque scenery in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, shot using a drone has gone viral on Chinese social media, amassing more than 600,000 views in just a few days.
The short three-minute video, consisting entirely of aerial photography, artfully weaves together footage of Yangzhou's most famous historical and cultural sites, including Wuting Bridge, Slender West Lake, Dongguan Street, Song Jia City and He Garden, to recreate a day in the city, starting at dawn and closing at dusk.

The beautifully shot images have impressed viewers, with many leaving glowing comments under the video.
The video's creator is Mao Hua, a 31-year-old from Gaoyou, a county-level city in Yangzhou. The Yangzhou native took two weeks out from his advertising job in Shanghai to shoot and edit the video in November 2016.

Despite filming from 4 am to 11 pm throughout the vacation, Mao still had regrets over certain shots he was not able to capture for the video.
Mao plans to improve the video further and release a "complete version" documenting spring and autumn in Yangzhou in April.
