Harbin to promote meteorological modernization

Harbin government has issued an action plan to promote the development of meteorological modernization.

The Harbin Meteorological Modernization Construction Action Plan (2016-20) was released to back up the meteorological modernization system.

The action plan urges deep reform and encourages the use of meteorological data that could play an important role in preventing disasters and protecting the general population.

The plan also called for enhancing the capabilities of the professional weather service to make better weather reports.

Meanwhile, the plan encouraged local governments at all levels to formulate a coordinated system to promote meteorological modernization development.

Different departments, such as the departments of finance, agriculture, environmental protection, forestry, and tourism should work together.
