A Haibao Guoji cross-border e-commerce platform specializing in health food was recently established under local government’s supportive policies.

On Dec. 2 2016, the Dalian municipal government issued temporary measures establishing special funds to support the growth of a cross-border comprehensive pilot zone. The products involved are directly supplied by long-term foreign partners of Hanwei Group Co Ltd.

Haibao Guoji was invested with 5 million yuan ($730,780) and is fully operated by Dalian-based Hanwei Group’s Haibao Biotechnology Co Ltd. Hanwei Group started to plan the e-commerce project in 2014 and finally decided to proceed with the platform in July 2015 with the support of relevant departments of Dalian.

Under the initiative of China’s State Council cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot-zones were established in 12 cities including Dalian in Jan 12 2017.
