A group of South Korean Journalists paid a visit to Yantai Cultural Creative Industry Park on June 24, for finding out more about the progress of the city's cultural industry.

The journalists, jointly invited by Yantai Municipal government and China Daily, were taking part in a three-day fact-finding trip to report on the latest developments in the coastal city.

Yantai Cultural Creative Industry Park consists of an animation and advertisement base, covering three square kilometers.

Since opening in 2007, the animation and advertising bases at Yantai Cultural Creative Industry Park are now home to more than 300 companies. Its 2015 output value reached 650 million yuan ($99 million) with profit and tax of 80 million yuan.

The park has pushed for extensive cooperation with South Korea in film and animation production, advertising and digital broadcasting.

In May of 2016, Yantai-Bucheon Cultural Creative Zone and China-ROK Animation Museum were inaugurated at the park.
