Shandong Energy Group Co Ltd is a wholly State-owned company founded in March 2011 with registered capital of 10 billion yuan ($1.45 billion). It has been included in the Fortune Global 500 list since 2012.

With its headquarters in Jinan, the capital of Shandong province, the company owns subsidiary companies in more than 10 domestic provinces and autonomous regions and foreign countries, including Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand and Singapore.
