Hebei Provincial Folk Culture Festival

Hebei Provincial Folk Culture Festival has been annually held in Shijiazhuang, capital city of Hebei province since 2008. Sponsored by the Hebei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the event commences at the second Saturday of June every year to celebrate the country's national Cultural and Natural Heritage Day.

This year's folk culture festival started in Shijiazhuang on May 18, and lasted until June 12, with its main venue set in Hebei Museum. The festival provided visitors with various kinds of intangible cultural heritages-themed exhibitions, including wedding customs, paper cuttings, and paste paintings of Manchu people in Fengning Manchu autonomous county, as well as opera performances.

Since its inception in 2008, the festival has been carrying forward traditional culture, enriching people's cultural life, and promoting the coordinated social and economic development of the province.
