Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region received 3.58 million domestic tourist visits during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, generating 2.5 billion yuan ($363.9 million) in revenue.
The city launched a series of festive events featuring folk customs, ice-and-snow activities, intangible cultural heritage showcases, and immersive cultural experiences.

Popular activities included zodiac-themed animal interactions at Ordos Zoo, immersive performances and parades at Ordos Cultural Industry Park, traditional operas and Chinese New Year fairs at major scenic spots, and a lantern festival in Ejin Horoo Banner combining traditional craftsmanship with modern technology.
