Ejin Horoo Banner to build global battery testing, innovation platform

A global shared battery testing and innovation platform will be established in the Mengsu Economic Development Zone of Ejin Horoo Banner, Ordos, following a recent signing ceremony between the zone's administrative committee and Envision Aesc Group.

The project will receive a total investment of about 400 million yuan ($57.55 million) and include an intelligent battery performance testing platform, innovative testing methodologies, a full life-cycle battery evaluation system, and a battery validation and innovation platform.

Once completed, the project is expected to generate annual revenue of around 600 million yuan and create about 400 jobs. It will help strengthen key links in the energy storage industry, including R&D, performance verification, and the development of standards, while helping upstream and downstream enterprises to form an industrial ecosystem spanning everything from core technology research to commercialization.

Ejin Horoo Banner will accelerate approval procedures and provide support to ensure the project is completed and put into operation as early as possible.
