Can I fill out the required entry information online?

Yes. Since Nov 20, 2025, you may complete the required entry information online before traveling to China via the following channels:

• The official website or government service platform of the National Immigration Administration (NIA)
•  The “NIA 12367” app 
• WeChat/Alipay mini programs
• By scanning the QR code provided below with your mobile device

If you are unable to complete the information online in advance, you may do so upon arrival at the immigration inspection counter at Chinese ports of entry by:

• Scanning the on-site QR code with a mobile phone connected to the internet
• Using on-site self-service devices
• Filling out a paper Arrival Card

The following individuals are exempt from completing the form:
(1) Holders of a valid Foreign Permanent Resident ID Card of the People’s Republic of China
(2) Holders of a valid Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents (non-Chinese citizens)
(3) Holders of a group visa or individuals eligible for group visa-free entry
(4) Passengers in 24-hour direct transit who remain within the designated port area
(5) Cruise passengers entering and departing on the same vessel
(6) Travelers entering through the E-channel
(7) Foreign crew members of NIA transport vehicles.
