With mysterious smiles, broken-off arms, and carved details, these Buddhist stone sculptures from Qingzhou, Shandong province, have traveled across time and space to meet visitors at the Hunan Provincial Museum.

Their weathered surfaces and refined craftsmanship allow visitors to feel the pulse of the 6th-century stone carving art and experience a moment of peace under the glow of Buddha's light.
