In Gaoping, Jincheng, Shanxi province, the Kaihua Temple has stood since the late Tang Dynasty (618-907), reaching the zenith of its institutional life and cultural significance during the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). Within its walls lie breathtaking murals and decorative paintings that represent the height of Song-era aesthetics.

Now, at the Shenzhen Museum's digital art exhibition, you can experience this thousand-year-old wonder in a whole new way – with 1:1 mural reproductions and a 23-minute VR immersion that brings the temple's architecture and paintings vividly to life.

Dates: Until Nov 30
