The Chengdu Wuhou Shrine has recently received a bronze statue of Guan Yu (or Lord Guan, 161-220) by contemporary artist Ren Zhe. To celebrate the donation, the museum is hosting a special exhibition, The Art of Guan Yu's Portraits Through the Ages.

If you are a fan of Guan Yu, this is your chance to travel across nearly two thousand years, tracing how a historical general became a timeless cultural icon of loyalty, courage and righteousness.

Dates: Until Nov 15
