This cursive script calligraphy is one of the 12 panels by Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) scholar Fu Shan (1607-84) that feature forty-two rhymes wishing longevity to his friend Wang Xiyu. Fu Shan's calligraphy was unique in the 17th-century Chinese calligraphy circles. He was skilled at regular, cursive, seal and clerical scripts, and a pioneer in the study of steles in his time. This work is now housed in the Shanxi Museum.
