Second Golden Panda Awards wrap up

A total of 27 awards across categories of film, TV drama, animation, and documentary, along with special jury awards, are presented at the 2nd Golden Panda Awards Ceremony in Chengdu, Sichuan province, on Saturday night. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

"This is the path that brought us here, our original aspiration, and what fuels our journey ahead," he said.

The Golden Panda Awards, jointly hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Sichuan provincial government, is a biennial cultural event in recognition of outstanding achievements in film and television.

This year's event received 5,343 submissions from 126 countries and regions, with foreign works accounting for 73.2 percent, according to the organizers.
