Destined Love of the Fairy Couple is inspired by the legendary romance of Dong Yong, a poor, mortal man known for his extreme filial piety, and the Seventh Fairy. More than a tale of filial piety, it celebrates courage, integrity, and the Seventh Fairy’s fearless devotion to love — even at the cost of her immortal spirit. Their story shines as both a moving love legend and a tribute to honesty and kindness.

Staged at the Xixi Tourism and Cultural Scenic Spot — the birthplace of the folk tale Legend of Dong Yong, this spectacular show combines ancient storytelling with cutting-edge stagecraft. On account of its digital technology, modern music, and graceful dance, the production was honored as one of the first entries in the National List of Fine Tourism Performances.
