A special exhibition now on view at Changsha Museum features pictorial bricks from the Wei (220-265) and Jin (265-420) dynasties, unearthed from Gansu province. From traveling and feasting to farming, dressing and entertainment, each brick is a snapshot of history, vividly capturing scenes of ancient Chinese daily life. These burial items are also clear evidence of the cultural exchanges and agricultural development that once flourished in the Hexi Corridor of northwestern China.
