Inspired by the groundbreaking work of ancient Chinese scientist Zu Chongzhi in calculating the value of pi (π), this piece weaves together traditional Chinese instruments and electronic sounds to create a rich musical landscape.
The traditional instruments evoke the historical context and pioneering spirit of ancient scholars in their quest to understand the mysteries of pi, while the electronic elements symbolize the technological advancements that have stemmed from this foundational knowledge. Together, they resonate and intertwine, offering a personal reflection on the relationship between tradition and modernity.
