This song draws its theme from the sacred Qilian Mountain. It tells an ancient tale, carrying the mountain’s longing for the distant ones who have yet to return.

The piece blends the essence of various ethnic traditions with rock music. The vocal style and melodic line are inspired by the Hua’er folk songs of Qinghai, featuring distinctive scales, melodic leaps, and vocal techniques.

The arrangement combines elements from rock bands, electronic sounds, and traditional Chinese instruments such as the dizi and xiao flutes. The harmony adopts the Dorian mode.

The chorus features layered vocal parts with overlapping and echoing voices, enhancing the tension and emotional depth of the song.
