The Legend of the Camel Bells is a spectacular show that takes the Silk Road as its central theme, delving deep into the historical roots of Xi’an as the starting point. Following the long and arduous journey of the camel caravans, it tells a legendary tale of cultural exchange and connection between East and West across millennia.
The show features a world-class 360-degree rotating auditorium, allowing every audience member to follow the storyline as if traveling with the camel caravan—from its departure in the ancient capital Chang’an (now Xi’an), across vast deserts and rugged landscapes, to its arrival in Rome. Enhanced by cutting-edge lighting, sound and visual effects, a real-life set, massive mechanical installations, and a cast of hundreds of skilled performers, the production creates a fully immersive, multidimensional viewing experience. Whether it's the sweeping beauty of the Silk Road, exotic music and dance, or the thrilling moments of the caravan crossing treacherous terrain, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped into history itself—awe-struck by the profoundness and impact of the history.
The performance skillfully blends various traditional art forms—such as Qinqiang Opera, Shaanbei folk songs, and dances of Xiyu (the Western Regions)—enhanced by dazzling costumes and refined props.
