Have you experienced the charm of Beijing? If so, China Daily invites you to share your perspective through our "My China Moments - Charming Beijing" project. This initiative aims to collect stories, experiences, and insight from foreigners who have encountered, explored or been inspired by Beijing.
1. Eligibility: Foreigners
2. Submission Type:
(1)Written articles:The article should be no more than 800 English words in length, describing your personal experiences or impressions in China. accompanied by at least one photograph with a caption explaining its relevance to the story.
(2)Videos:Videos should be either horizontal or vertical, in MP4 or MOV format, with a total file size under 1GB and a maximum duration of 3 minutes. Videos must have a clear and stable image, free from borders, watermarks, or logos. Each video submission requires a brief introduction. Background music is optional; however, if included, it must be internationally licensed from a legitimate source.
(3)Other visual works: This includes, but is not limited to, photography, illustrations, and graphic design. Submissions should be in JPEG or PNG format, with a resolution of at least 300 dpi and a file size no larger than 10MB. Each piece must include a brief description explaining the background, inspiration, or intent of the work. Content must be relevant to the theme. Submissions with watermarks, logos, or other copyright marks will not be accepted. If the work contains portraits or copyrighted elements, please ensure all necessary permissions have been obtained.

5. How to Submit: Please send your work as attachment to mychinamoments-bj@chinadaily.com.cn with the subject line "Charming Beijing - your name". Include the name of the work's author, nationality, and contact method in the email, along with a brief self-introduction mentioning author’s name, nationality, position or status, and work or living location.
6. Subtopics
We suggest the following subtopics, but you are welcome to submit other valuable and interesting works that may not fall under the specific categories listed.
(1) Nature & Landscapes: Share your tour of Beijing's breathtaking natural landscapes. Whether it's the Great Wall winding through mountains, the serene beauty of the Summer Palace, or the historic charm of Beijing Central Axis, describe how the scenery impacted your soul.
(2) Culinary Adventures: Describe your journey through the diverse flavors of Chinese cuisine in Beijing or those related to Beijing. From street food to fine dining, what dishes left a lasting impression on your taste buds and why?
(3) Modern Marvels: Reflect on the innovation and progress you've witnessed in Beijing. How do skyscrapers, technology hubs, and advanced infrastructure showcase the region's rapid development?
(4) Cultural Encounters: Recount personal interactions with locals, traditional festivals attended, or cultural practices observed. How did these experiences challenge or deepen your understanding of Beijing?
(5) Museums & Heritage Sites: Share your experiences visiting museums or historical sites in Beijing. What artifacts or exhibits stood out to you the most? How did these experiences deepen your understanding of Chinese history and culture?
(6) Artistic Inspirations: Explore the influence of Chinese art, literature, film, or music on your creative expression. Which works resonated with you the most and why?
(7) Learning Experiences: Share what you've learnt about China in Beijing — be it through language classes, academic courses, or self-study. What aspects of Chinese culture or society intrigued you the most during your learning process in Beijing?
7. Selection and Rewards
(1) All submitted works will be reviewed and selected by senior editors at China Daily. Selected articles will be published with attribution on platforms such as China Daily official website’s Culture channel, and digital platforms and social media accounts including Discover Beautiful China, China Museums, and Performing Arts in China. Some articles will also be published with attribution in China Daily.
(2) You will be eligible to enter a lucky draw for a chance to win exquisite cultural gifts from China Daily and may also be invited to attend various themed offline events hosted by China Daily.

(1) Submissions must be original and not previously published on other platforms. The author owns the copyright and has the right of authorship of the submissions.
