The China Welfare Institute Children's Palace, a renowned institution with a rich history of nurturing young minds, has launched its new site project. Situated in the core riverfront area of Shanghai's Huangpu district, the new site is set to serve as a beacon for international exchanges and public engagements.
Established in 1953 by Soong Ching Ling, the CWI Children's Palace holds the distinction of being China's first comprehensive extracurricular education center for children. Over the years, it has evolved into a cherished institution, leaving an indelible mark on multiple generations.
The upcoming site is primed to serve as a hub for public education, cultural exchange, dynamic events, and innovation, aiming to become a world-class international children's center and a child-friendly landmark emblematic of the 21st century in Shanghai.
In a bid to involve the public in the project, the institution has launched two campaigns: "The Future Children's Palace in My Heart" and "My Memories of the Children's Palace". Individuals from all walks of life are encouraged to share their ideas and reminiscences, fostering a sense of community involvement and collective ownership. Further details regarding participation in these campaigns can be found on the organization's official WeChat account.
