Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi province in Northwest China, one of the eligible ports for the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, is striving to attract more international tourists to choose Xi'an as the first destination for inbound tourism.
As part of the effort, Xi'an has recently reintroduced the original French musical Notre Dame de Paris, with five consecutive performances from May 16-18 at Shaanxi Grand Theatre, an important venue for first-class international high-quality performances, located in the well-known pedestrian street of Datang Night City.
The musical premiered in Xi'an in 2019, and this time it returns to this historical city, with fresh appeal for both residents and visitors.
Since its premiere in 1998, Notre Dame de Paris has become the pinnacle of French musical history with its unique artistic style and profound emotional expression.
Over the past 27 years, the musical has been performed in 24 countries and regions, with a cumulative audience of over 16 million, making it the undisputed king of French musicals.
