On Wednesday, two nationally protected Siberian cranes soared in to Northeast China’s Jilin province alongside over 200 rare birds, including common cranes and bean geese. On arrival in Zhenlai county, Baicheng, they preened, foraged and stretched their wings over the ice-fringed shallows, filling the wetland with their calls. An Oriental stork even made a special appearance, marking the start of spring stopover for the world's largest Siberian crane population.
The wetland is providing five-star ecological services to welcome these incredible "sky dancers"!
