The first Huaqing Palace "Nishang Cup" Photography Exhibition, hosted by Huaqing Palace Scenic Area and Xi'an Mass Art Museum, opened on Feb 9 in Xi'an, Shaanxi province in Northwest China.
The exhibition features 100 outstanding works from the "Nishang Cup" photography competition at the Huaqing Palace. Classical architecture, natural landscapes and Hanfu portraits are ingeniously integrated in these pieces.
The poetic and narrative images, aided by the use of light and shadow, offer the audience an authentic glimpse into the cultural tapestry of the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
Yang Hongbo, secretary general of Shaanxi Photographers Association, said that the Huaqing Palace springs to new life through the lens of photography, opening the door for more people to appreciate its cultural charm and natural beauty.
The young photographers inject new vitality into traditional photographic themes with innovative perspectives and modern techniques, allowing the ancient palace to shine with a unique brilliance in the new era.
