
Introduction
- The Guangdong Museum is a comprehensive provincial museum. It was originally installed at the former site of the local Examination Office of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) in 1957.In 2003 construction began on the new building in Zhujiang New Town. Close to the Pearl River and situated between the Guangzhou Opera House to the west and the Central Drive to the east,the new museum has a planned area of 41,000 square meters and a construction area of 63,000 sq m.
