Beijing, Tianjin and neighboring Hebei province hosted multiple celebrations on Tuesday night to welcome 2025.
The South Gate of Zhengding county in Hebei's capital, Shijiazhuang, was illuminated with dazzling lights as part of the 2025 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei New Year's Eve Celebration titled "Looking to the Future, Embarking on a New Chapter Together".
The event featured a circular stage designed to look like concentrically united petals, symbolizing the close collaboration of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Advanced technologies, such as drones, LED screens and light and sound effects, came together to create a magnificent scene of interconnected mountains and rivers and the region's cultural heritage, demonstrating its commitment to unified planning, coordinated development and integrated growth.
Over 1,000 drones soared into the sky to create scenes of landmarks such as Beijing's Tiananmen Square, Tianjin's Five Avenue area, Hebei's Xiong'an New Area and Zhengding county.
Events were simultaneously held in Beijing's Shougang Park and Tianjin's Drum Tower Square.
During the New Year and Spring Festival periods, various activities, including fairs, winter sports and culture-themed tours, will be held across the region.
