Located in the southwest part of Meizhou Island, Putian, lies a gem from 1999 – a mangrove park. After over 20 years of growth, it now boasts an extensive mangrove forest spanning over 1,000 mu (66.7 hectares).
Mangroves, nature's guardians, grow in the intertidal zones at the boundary between land and sea in tropical and subtropical regions, making them a very unique, coastal ecosystem.
