The 2nd Shangri-La Cultural Tourism Festival took place at Shika Snow Mountain in Diqing Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province from Sept 29 until Oct 8. To mark the festival, Diqing prefecture began offering discounted scenic spot and transportation policies for tourists from other parts of China, as well as from South and Southeast Asia, for winter travel to Shangri-La.
