The Shenyang Cultural Palace celebrated the 75th anniversary of the People's Republic of China with the Peking Opera classic The Fourth Son of the Yang Family Visits His Mother on Oct 6. This production is based on the popular Chinese folklore The Warriors of the Yang Family. The story centers on Yang Yanhui, a former senior general of the Song Dynasty (960-1279), who goes through many difficulties to visit his mother She Saihua after years of separation during the Song-Liao wars.
