The China Culture and Tourism Industries Exposition, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, concluded recently in Tianjin.
The event attracted 2,000 enterprises and saw participation from 281,600 attendees across various activities during the event.
During the expo, an initiative was launched to promote cultural and tourism development at the county level. This initiative includes organizing cultural and creative competitions, establishing digital tourism service systems and creating experience centers for cultural and tourism products. The goal is to assist 100 counties nationwide by 2026.
Additionally, a national script competition titled Travel with Micro-Short Dramas was officially launched at the expo.
This competition encourages filmmakers to showcase the cultural highlights of different counties through concise and engaging micro-short dramas. Whether it's beautiful natural scenery, unique local customs or delicious regional snacks, these micro-short dramas offer creative ways to represent these attractions.
The dramas will be widely distributed on major online platforms drawing more attention from tourists and sparking their interest in travel destinations.
This will also bring new business models and development opportunities to the cultural and tourism industry, fostering a deeper integration between cultural tourism and the film industry.
