Short video sharing conference held to promote tourism industry in Xi’an

The Xi'an Cultural and Tourism Short Video Exhibition and Sharing Conference 2024, hosted by the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, was held on Friday in the Shaanxi province city.

Representatives from the city's cultural and tourism sector, more than 20 news media outlets, and three short video influencers with millions of followers participated in the event.

In the digital age, short videos have become a new medium of cultural influence and a powerful tool for promoting urban areas.

The purpose of Friday’s event was to explore and showcase the city’s profound cultural characteristics through short video media. Through the integrated development of "short video + cultural tourism", it aimed to enhance the quality and transformation of the cultural tourism market, injecting new momentum into the integration of culture and tourism.

At the event, a series of captivating cultural and tourism short videos and Xi'an cultural and tourism promotional videos were displayed. Each frame captured the historical accumulation and modern charm of Xi'an.

After the displaying, Cheng Rui, deputy director of the Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, issued certificates to the Zhouzhi County Bureau of Culture, Tourism and Sports, and independent short video creators, who had contributed outstanding work to the "Show Your Year of Xi'an" short video call.

Cultural and tourism representatives from Xincheng district, Weiyang district, Lantian county, Zhouzhi county, Xixian New Area, and Chanba International Port of Xi'an delivered speeches, promoting the rich cultural and tourism resources of their respective districts and counties.

The Xi'an Museum, Huaqing Palace Scenic Area, Flying Dream Aviation Experience Base and Tang Dynasty Mystery Record Immersive Theater also highlighted their unique and charming cultural and tourism projects.

Xi’an is home to the world famous Terracotta Warriors, the world’s eighth wonder, and it aims to further promote the development of the local tourism industry through the exhibition and sharing of tourism-related short videos.

The Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism will continue to integrate excellent cultural and tourism resources from various districts and counties, fully leveraging the advantages of short video dissemination, to promote the creative transformation and innovative development of traditional Chinese culture.
