Arcfox is expected to gain further momentum as the premium electric marque of BAIC Group enriches its portfolio.

The Beijing-based marque sold over 8,000 vehicles in June, up 314.77 percent from the same month last year.

They also marked a leap from the deliveries of 4,500 units in May, despite the increasingly fierce competition in the Chinese new energy vehicle market.

The main growth driver is the Alpha T5, whose deliveries exceeded 3,700 units last month.

It is closely followed by the Kaola, a model designed for new families on the move with infants.

Its considerate design has won the hearts of many young parents, driving its deliveries to 3,200 units in June.

Arcfox said the company will soon launch a five-seat version, called Kaola S, which is expected to better meet the demand of larger families.

The Alpha S5, which hit the market in June, is seeing the number of its orders grow, said the company.

A heavyweight model, the Stelato S9, is expected to hit the market later this year.

Codeveloped in collaboration with Huawei, the model will rival ultra luxury models from such brands as Mercedes and thus helps grow Arcfox's brand awareness and value.

BAIC BluePark, which owns the Arcfox marque, said the sales and service network will expand to have 300 dealerships by the end of the year, up from 244 in 2023.

The figure will reach over 380 by 2025, covering over 100 cities across the country, it added.

Earlier this year, BAIC Group said it will invest 100 billion yuan ($13.7 billion) by 2030 in R&D, primarily focused on new energy vehicle-related sectors, which will spur Arcfox's long-term development.
