Xisai Mountain is not only a classical image in Chinese poetry but also an important theme in Chinese landscape and reclusive culture.
The Xisai Mountain Tourist Resort covers an area of 26.8 square kilometers. In December 2015, it was approved as a provincial-level tourist resort. In recent years, it has become a resort that integrates cultural experiences, ecological wellness, family education and rural vacations.
Conveniently located, the Xisai Mountain Resort is situated at the intersection of the Shanghai-Hangzhou-Nanjing golden tourism region. National Highway 104, the Hangzhou-Nanjing High-Speed Railway and the Huzhou-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway run through the area, with entrances and exits for the Changchun-Shenzhen Expressway and Shenjiahu Expressway on either side. It is just a 5-minute drive from Huzhou Railway Station and a 20-minute drive from the city center. The surrounding area has developed a comprehensive network of high-speed railways, expressways and overpasses, fully integrating into the Yangtze River Delta “one-hour transportation circle”.
The surrounding environment is exceptional. Within the resort, the mountains stretch continuously, featuring well-known peaks such as the Xisai, Zhushan and Xiamu mountains, with a forest coverage rate of over 73 percent. Miaoxi Port meanders through the resort, and there are more than 50 mountain ponds and reservoirs scattered throughout. The pristine mountains and waters foster an excellent atmosphere, with some areas of the resort boasting negative ion concentrations as high as 20,000 per cubic centimeter, which is more than 40 times the average concentration in large cities.
The lush mountains and lucid waters have long nurtured an environment well-suited to literary endeavor, with many ancient Chinese poets composing outstanding works here. The resort is a treasure trove of local culture, encompassing poetry, tea, a Zen-style life and seclusion. The resort holds cultural titles such as “Hometown of The Classic of Tea” and the “Ancestral Court of the Korean Seon (Korean Chan Buddhism)”.
In addition, the resort offers a diverse range of products for tourists. After years of protective development, the resort has set up several 4A/3A national-level tourist attractions such as Yuanxiang Town and Linglong Bay, as well as rural hotels and boutique guesthouses. This has developed into three major themed vacation products: The “original town experience”, “tea and Zen-style life”, and the “wild luxury retreat”.
Xisai Mountain resort has been honored with the title of “Best Leisure Tourism Resort in the Yangtze River Delta” by the Yangtze River Delta Investment Development Forum.
