Nestled in the Yellow River Valley of Yongjing county, Linxia Hui autonomous prefecture, Gansu province, the Liujiaxia Tourist Resort covers an area of 11.56 square kilometers. Situated at an average altitude of 1,500 meters, it enjoys a temperate climate with four distinct seasons, and is especially noted for its cool summers, earning it the nickname "Back Garden of Lanzhou" (Liujiaxia is only 75 kilometers away from Lanzhou, capital of Gansu province). Therefore, it is favorable for year-round tourism, particularly for summer retreats and health demands. Its travel season lasts up to eight months.
