One of China's original theme parks, Shenzhen Splendid China Folk Village, launched its colorful summer carnival last Friday.

The event, which will run until Sept 1, offers visitors a 66-day summer celebration through five meticulously-crafted carnivals, 12 ethnic music festivals and over 30 daily village singing and dance performances.
