The Ministry of Culture and Tourism will launch a series of tourism products and themed routes to enrich the summer offerings for vacationers.
A nationwide summer cultural and tourism consumption season will be launched, and a series of premium travel products will be on offer, including themed routes featuring sport events, gourmet food and art performance.
According to the ministry, more than 37,000 cultural and tourism consumption activities will be hosted across the country during July and August.
Discounts for gas, shopping, car wash, tickets to tourist attractions will be available.
Additionally, on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the ministry will host a red culture storytelling event, where tour guides will share major achievements during the new era with the public.
A national college students red tourism creative planning competition will also be held, where contestants are encouraged to go into revolutionary sites across the country and create routes and creative cultural items.
