This group of illustrations is inspired by the poem A Happy Excursion written by Chinese philosopher Zhuang Zi (369 -286 BC). Using the imagery of the Kun transforming into the Peng from "Xiaoyaoyou" as the main creative subject, the illustrations, along with the mist-shrouded mountains and oceans, create a fantastical and mysterious atmosphere. By incorporating the cicada and the little dove for contrast, it evokes a deeper contemplation of the vastness and mystery of the natural world.
