Dongjiaomin Lane, nestled in Beijing's Dongcheng district, was built during the peak of the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368). Stretching 1.6 kilometers from the eastern road of Tiananmen Square to Chongwenmen Inner Street, it's the longest hutong in old Beijing. Historically, it was a vital alley for grain transport, earning the name "Jiangmi Lane". Today, Dongjiaomin Lane is a European-style street featuring legacy buildings of former foreign embassies, churches, banks, and clubs.
