The upcoming Shanghai International Film Festival released the schedule for the showcase titles on Thursday, with box office kicking off at noon on Friday.
The 26th SIFF will take place from June 14 to 23, when 450 films will have about 1,600 projections in 47 cinemas around Shanghai, and six cinemas in other Yangtze River Delta cities such as Nanjing and Suzhou of Jiangsu province, Hangzhou and Ningbo of Zhejiang province and Hefei of Anhui province.
Audiences will have access to the updated film schedule information on the festival's official website: www.siff.com, official wechat and weibo accounts. The official ticketing platform is Taopiaopiao, where a special channel has opened. Audiences in Shanghai and the other five cities can click the SIFF banner on top of the Taopiaopiao application's web page to search for the movie titles, cinemas and showcase schedules, to select and buy the tickets.
Audiences are advised to arrive at the cinema an hour ahead of the screening, in case there is a long wait line. They will need to collect the paper tickets from the ticket printer machines placed in the lobby of the cinema, before being admitted.
