On May 31, the 2024 Meili 100® Extreme Endurance Race started at Feilai Temple in Deqin county, Diqing Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province. Three hundred participants from 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across the Chinese mainland as well as Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan regions, plus three countries (the United States, Italy, and Thailand), set off with the starting gun.

The event was held within the Meili Snow Mountain National Park, with the route following the pilgrimage path around Kawagebo Mountain. Participants took part in this endurance competition to challenge their limits and surpass themselves, enjoy the natural scenery and ethnic customs and purify their minds.
