This Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) painting of silk production and weaving spans an impressive 1,098.2 centimeters. It features a long corridor-style house, in which 24 scenes of sericulture, from raising silkworms to weaving silk fabrics, are intricately and vividly depicted. The painting offers valuable insights into the social economy, craftsmanship and customs of over 800 years ago. It is now housed at the Museum of Heilongjiang Province.
