Beijing exhibition revisits Tang Dynasty Emperor Taizong’s life

Emperor Taizong (r. 627-649, Li Shimin, reign name: Zhenguan) was the second emperor of the Tang Dynasty (618-907). His illustrious military conquests laid the foundation for the empire’s prosperity and unity.

An exhibition ongoing at the National Museum of Classic Books in Beijing traces the life and accomplishments of Li Shimin through a collection of treasured artifacts. Those intrigued by the history of this period would do well to seize the chance to explore the glorious Zhenguan reign.
