Wanjiao No 1 shipwreck, dating back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), was a Chinese merchant vessel that sank off the coast near Pingtan county, Fujian province. Discovered in 2005 and fully salvaged in 2008, the shipwreck has unveiled a treasure trove of over 17,000 ceramic artifacts. Among them, 65 exemplar pieces are now displayed at the Zhenjiang Museum in Jiangsu, offering a captivating glimpse into China’s ceramic craftsmanship during the 17th and 18th centuries.
