In Nantong, Jiangsu province, the newly adapted Huangmei Opera Blessing, was staged at the Gengsu Theater on March 17, 2024. Based on Lu Xun's novel of the same name, the production fully utilizes the performance characteristics of Huangmei Opera, telling the tragic life story of a sister-in-law, Xianglin, and revealing the profound theme of oppression and persecution of women in the feudal society.
