Located in Qujing, Yunnan province, Shizong is a mountainous agricultural county inhabited by 35 ethnic groups. It is the hometown of historical figures such as Dou Xu, the author of the long couplets of Yueyang Tower -- one of the four famous Chinese towers, and He Guizhen, the teacher of the Xianfeng Emperor of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
