Dilber Yunus, of the Uygur ethnic group, is an acclaimed lyric coloratura soprano opera artist. Hailed as the "nightingale" from China, Dilber has been appointed a lifetime soloist by the Finnish National Opera and Ballet, worked as a soloist at Theater Bonn, and held the position of soloist at the Malmö Opera in Sweden. She has also received awards at the Mirjam Helin International Singing Competition, and won the Birgit Nilsson Stipendium.
Her successful portrayals on stage encompass almost all significant roles for lyric coloratura sopranos in Western operas, including Angelica in Haydn's Orlando Paladino, the Queen of the Night in Mozart's The Magic Flute, Despina in Mozart's Così fan tutte, and Rosina in Rossini's The Barber of Seville.
