Wandering in Dalian | Dalian Development Area Library

J.K. Rowling, the author of the beloved Harry Potter series, has a famous saying, "I do believe something magical can happen when you read a good book."

This is the Dalian Development Area Library, one of the landmarks of Jinpu New Area Culture Square.

The library currently has a collection of 1.56 million books, among which 950,000 are paper books and 180,000 are e-books. It also houses over 1,100 Chinese newspapers and periodicals, more than 1,200 foreign language books, and about 30 foreign language journals, with an annual addition of approximately 50,000 volumes. The library serves around 700,000 visitors each year.

The library regularly organizes various activities, such as civil cultural lectures, traditional festival activities, cultural and art exhibitions, and youth reading activities.
