Produced by Yunnan Normal University, the grand musical National Southwest Associated University was staged in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, on Nov 29. The work honors the 85th anniversary of the National Southwest Associated University.
In 1937, amidst the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45), Peking University, Tsinghua University and Nankai University merged, giving rise to Changsha Temporary University. This later transformed into the National Southwest Associated University (NSAU) in Kunming and Mengzi, Yunnan province.
