Beijing exhibition marks 50th anniversary of the discovery of the Neolithic Hemudu Culture

Around 7,000 to 5,000 years ago, people living in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River (present-day Yuyao, Zhejiang province) created Hemudu Culture, a Neolithic culture notable for its unique artifacts, advanced pottery and early agricultural practices.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the discovery of Hemudu Culture, the National Museum of China in Beijing kicked off an exhibition on Nov 7, revisiting multifaceted aspects of the economic production and daily lives of Hemudu people. Don’t miss out!
