On the evening of Oct 10, the classic Kunqu Opera Peony Pavilion took the stage at the China Kunqu Opera Theater in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. The performance featured the edition of Zhang Jiqing, a Kunqu Opera maestro.
The young actress Xi Xiaotian played the role of Du Liniang, delivering a mesmerizing tale of love and destiny. Her brilliant performance received unanimous praise from the audience.
